5 reasons our pods are made of aluminium

Our pods have an aluminium outer structure, engineered over a timber frame.

Aluminium is a relatively young metal only discovered in 1808 by Sir Humphrey Davy. It is one of the most abundant metals in the earth’s crust and over 90% of it is recycled.

We choose to make our pods from aluminium for a number of reasons:

LIGHTWEIGHT – Aluminium has a low density, which means that it is lightweight for its size, making it easier to transport and requiring only 5 concrete pads for installation.

CORROSION RESISTANT – Aluminium is very resistant to corrosion. This together with its powder coated finish make our pods low maintenance and long lasting.

STRONG – Despite being so light, aluminium is very strong allowing us to create exceptionally stable pods.

FINISHING OPTIONS – The aluminium outer structure of our pods can be pre-anodised or powder coated to your precise colour requirements, perfect to suit your own preferences or even more importantly to meet the planning requirements of your local planning office.

EASY TO ENGINEER – The flexibility of aluminium allows it to be shaped to create the eye catching dome structure of our pods.
