In April of this year Intupod placed a mountain pod (CroPod) in the remote area of Glencolumbkille, County Donegal on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way.
The Times named the pod ‘Best Place in Ireland to Get Away from it All’ (June 2017).
The pod is owned by Dr Greg Stevenson who directs Under the Thatch, managing and providing holiday accommodation around Europe.
“We had a great few days at the pod, the scenery was amazing and the locals were so welcoming and friendly. The space was clean and even though it was small it had everything you needed. Would definitely recommend staying here” (Rebecca, 2017)
“Our stay was a truly amazing experience. The scenery around the pod is breath-taking. It is decently close and very beautiful. The pod is very comfortable and has everything you need. “ (Caitlin, 2017)
“A wonderful weekend away. We loved staying in the pod and getting away from city life. Waking up to sheep grazing in the garden and enjoying a glass of wine at sunset in the most tranquil location.” (Patrick, 2017)
“This is a superb Pod in a fantastic location in South West Donegal, perfect for exploring the surrounding countryside and all that it has to offer. Mary is a lovely lady and was very helpful in advising on anything in the Pod and again in relation to the area that it is located. No hesitation in recommending Greg’s place to anyone, you won’t be disappointed.” (Chris, 2017)
“We had a brilliant time at this amazing pod. The location is out of this world – such dramatic, rural landscape & the pod was lovely – super cosy & comfy. I would highly recommend it.” (Molly, 2017)
“Wow! This was a fantastic find in a beautiful part of Ireland. The pod is small but the space is used so efficiently that it felt much larger. An excellent place to stay, highly recommended.” (David, 2017)
